Clutchless upshifting and downshifting, with IRC everything is possible: fast, smooth and reliable shifts
IRC electronic quickshifters are designed to improve gearshift quality by intervening on engine torque at the exact moment the rider operates the gear lever.
Born from IRC’s experience in the world of racing, they are developed and produced in Italy to offer performance, precision and reliability even for road use

Riding a motorbike with a quickshifter on the road is not like riding an electric motorcycle.
Driving pleasure increases
Control
Smooth and predictable gear shifting helps the rider maintain control of the motorbike, especially in the most demanding riding conditions.
You install, adjust and drive: the app is on your smartphone, the IRC gearbox at your foot
An electronic shifter should simplify riding, not add adjustments.

IRC systems are designed to adapt automatically to different shifting conditions, thanks to strain gauge technology that precisely detects the action exerted on the lever.

Once installed correctly, there is no need to use apps, smartphones or PCs to configure the behaviour of the gear change. You do not have to choose between a "normal" and a "sport" mode, and you do not need to constantly adjust the actuation timing.

You install it, adjust it and drive. The IRC system manages the gear shift automatically.

Questions and Answers
An electronic gear shift, or quickshifter, allows you to change gear without using the clutch during the shift. The system detects the rider's action on the lever and temporarily cuts engine torque to allow the next gear to be engaged.
What is the difference between a quickshifter and a blipper?
A: The quickshifter mainly manages upshifts, whereas the blipper also allows you to manage downshifts by temporarily increasing the engine speed to synchronise it with the lower gear.
Can electronic shifting be used on the road?
A: Yes. An electronic gear shift is not necessarily intended for the track. IRC systems are available for various motorcycle configurations and can also be used on the road, where smooth and precise gear shifting can improve riding comfort and control.
My bike already comes with a quickshifter as standard. Why should I change it?
A: As all standard components were designed and manufactured with two objectives in mind: cost reduction and acceptable operation for any user. This obviously involves compromises. Exactly like suspension, brake systems and engine control units. By replacing the original sensor, gear shifting will be more precise and smoother.
Does an electronic quickshifter ruin the motorcycle's gearbox?
A correctly designed, installed and configured system must manage torque interruption appropriately. Correct calibration of the system is essential to avoid incomplete gear changes or excessively abrupt interventions.
Why does the electronic gearbox only work above a certain rev range?
At very low revs, an electronic gear change can be less effective or less comfortable. For this reason, some systems only intervene when certain operating conditions are reached.
Why is a strain gauge/load cell type sensor better than a switch-type one?
The strain gauge sensors used in IRC systems are designed to detect the force applied by the rider to the gear shifter, transforming it into an electrical signal that can be used by the electronics. The force varies according to the position of the footpegs and the oil used. The IRC electronic quickshifter allows fine adjustment of the preload, which is the force required to initiate the gear shift. A switch-type sensor does not allow for these adjustments. A switch-type sensor has a certain amount of dead travel that the strain gauge sensor does not have, and this translates into more precise gear shifts
Are IRC electronic quickshifters Made in Italy?
A: Yes. IRC electronic gearboxes are developed and produced in Italy, at the IRC headquarters in Genoa.
Are IRC electronic quickshifters also suitable for road use?
A: Yes. Thanks to the proprietary power cut and re-engagement logic, the gears engage precisely at all engine speeds
